In 2021, an E91 Campus Vision Development Team began meeting regularly and discussing long-term vision and planning for our East 91st Street Campus. This team, consisting of E91 members, elders, and staff was carefully selected to include a variety of voices, backgrounds, perspectives, and business and vocational backgrounds. Together with the Lead Pastor, the group is working create a plan to make E91 into a destination place and a launching pad for greater kingdom impact.
Throughout 2022, the team thought, prayed, researched, developed and presented the E91 Elder Council with a suggested shortlist of campus development plans. During 2023, the team is conducted a survey of the Castleton community (both people living and working in our neighborhood).
Based on the feedback we receive of needs in the community, the team will create a recommendation of next steps for the campus development plan, which will be presented to the Elder Council for consideration. As we continue this process the church will also be working with the city regarding our zoning allowing us to explore additional potential opportunities in the future.
As the Campus Vision Development Team finalized their recommendations, the decision to form a separate non-profit corporation to oversee the individual projects as they move forward was approved by the elders and LAUNCH Community Development Corporation was created, with a board of directors consisting of E91 Staff and members.
We look forward to celebrating our 100th Anniversary in 2024, and will continue to share the latest updates with you as decisions and plans for our Campus Development are finalized.
