Betty was born in the Ohio Valley and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from schools in Kentucky and Tennessee. She and her husband ministered in churches in Indiana and Ohio before spending many years as faculty members at Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kansas. Several years after her husband's death, she and her two teenage children moved to Columbus, Ohio and then in 1992 she was called to the staff of E91. She has served in various ministries at E91, and now, in retirement, simply enjoys being able to counsel others and serve wherever she is needed. She still enjoys doing research and writing and being with her three grandchildren when possible.
