John Fencl has been married to Lyn for 23 years. They have two college-age children; Ben is a senior at Indiana University and Sarah is a junior at Purdue University. The Fencls have been active members of E91st for over 20 years. John grew up in Indianapolis.
John accepted Christ as an adult and has been baptized by immersion. His walk with Christ was deepened by the ministry of the Great Banquet. John has served in numerous roles supporting the Great Banquet ministry including serving in leadership as the Crossroads Great Banquet Community Lay Director for four years. He has served the Church’s Finance Committee for over ten years. He currently is on the Board of the E91 Foundation and serves as the Treasurer. Over the years, John has participated in men’s groups, Kingsman’s groups, and Bible Study Fellowship (BSF).
John and Lyn have served the Home Communion Ministry and participated in ROOTED. They are traveling with the IMPACT mission trip to Mexico in April. They have been in life group with other E91 believers for 18 years.
John enjoys being active through hiking, biking, swimming and spending time outdoors with Lyn. John is self-employed as a CPA.
