Rick has a passion for church planting, community transformation, and seeing people experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Rick has served E91 as Lead Pastor since August 2012, and he loves being part of a church that radically pursues people who are far from God, makes disciples who make disciples, and is impacting our community and world for Jesus Christ.
He is a devoted husband to Laura, and father of three adult children, Will (and wife Michaela), Anna and Luke who are all chasing after the heart of Jesus. Prior to coming to E91, Rick served as a church planter in New Orleans and pastored other churches in Kansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky. He hails from Manhattan Christian College, Manhattan, KS where he received his undergraduate degree, and he completed his M.A. from Lincoln Christian Seminary and the M.Div. and D.Min. from Emmanuel Christian Seminary.
Rick is an active blogger (@PastorRickGrover on Facebook), international speaker, author of 3 books: Bottom Shelf - Everyday Lessons Within Everyone’s Reach; 167 - Living Your Faith in the Real World; and [Re]Focus - A Weekly Guide to Refocus the Heart and Mind. He is also a contributing author of One Church, and Church Planting from the Ground Up. When not preaching, leading, or discipling, you’ll catch Rick out jogging, spending time with family, or watching the Colts or Jayhawks do their magic.
