COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Shad came into church communications through the side door—a studio fine arts degree from Murray State University, and then somehow, ministry. That was 2003, and he hasn't looked back since, serving churches in Las Vegas, Baltimore, and now Indianapolis as part of the E91 team.
He and his wife Kristen met serving together in student ministry and got married in 2004. They have two daughters who, between them, are responsible for three cats. When he's not working, you'll find him reading, most likely something by Flannery O'Connor.
His life verse is Galatians 2:20–21 — a reminder that the work isn't about him.
"My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die."
